PSAT, ACT, and SAT

Many parents ask us how grades impact college acceptance and entrance scholarships. The truth is grades matter very little. What sells you to the colleges and brings home the scholarships are your scores on these three exams.

A common struggle on these exams is the inability to complete the math component. Note that the time allotted to answer a question in the math section is typically 60 seconds or less. Yes – under 1 minute per question! So all your students hard work on on those long grueling math problems is really of little value here – they must know and understand the concepts to hope to succeed.

The best preparation is allocate a significant amount of time to a study guide. These study guide have lots of key hints for test taking strategy which will provide your student with insight into how the questions are developed as well as the best approach to get to a good answer in a very short time.
