What We Are About:
This blog is dedicated to bringing our readers articles on home schooling information important to them. We base our articles on comments and questions we get from our customers. From ACT scores, to what order your math classes should come in for high school, we try to address the issues you think are important.
As a company, AskDrCallahan delivers a complete college prep curriculum for the high school math subjects of Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2 with Trigonometry, and Calculus. The courses are developed by Dr. Dale Callahan, an engineering professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and provide college-preparatory math to prepare your son or daughter for success on the ACT, SAT, and in the college classroom.
Being homeschoolers ourselves, we designed our courses to be student AND parent friendly.
We supply not only fun and interest provoking teaching DVDs to go along with the best standard college level textbooks we could find for the student, but also a video introduction for the parent, teaching guidelines, tests AND test grading guides, FREE support, and a money-back guarantee.
My son will enter 10th grade as a homeschooler this year. He completed Algebra 1 last year and is reviewing over the summer, since it is not his strongest subject.
He will be taking Chemistry 1 and I wondered if it will be beneficial to take Algebra 11 at the same time? Geometry would then be completed in the 11th grade. Any thoughts you have on the matter will be greatly appreciated. I’m impressed with the DVDs that you have to sample. I’d like to purchase either the Alg. II or Geometry.
Thanks so much.
I would suggest Geometry first. Algebra II with Trig is a step up, and some knowledge of geometry is required. Also, the Geometry course includes a good bit of algebra review throughout.
